A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY FOR SALVADOR

JELD-WEN, the UK’s leading manufacturer of timber windows, doors and stairs choose Crosscut Technology from Daltons Wadkin – to enhance its production facility in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

The company approached Daltons Wadkin for guidance and advice to optimise the speed of production, maintain high levels of accuracy, whilst safeguarding health and safety standards on the factory floor.

George Murray, Engineering Projects Manager at JELD-WEN, met with Andy Walsh, Sales Director at Daltons Wadkin, who recommended a Salvador Super Angle 600 machine. Not only for its angle cutting capacity as well as straight cutting precision, but also for its fully automatic programmable operation, chain loading system and 6300 mm infeed capacity.

The Salvador Super Angle 600 machine is now working round the clock at the JELD-WEN facility, achieving all the benefits associated with the Salvador system to meet required production levels.

Andy Walsh was delighted with the opportunity to supply JELD-WEN at one of three sites they operate in Melton Mowbray and said, “JELD-WEN is a top flight global company which operates five factories in the UK supplying timber windows, door sets, stairs and doors amongst their range of products. The business is internationally renowned and it is a compliment both to us and Salvador that they have chosen this prestigious state of the art machine.”

George Murray at JELD-WEN was equally pleased with the installation and said, “This machine has been an excellent investment for the business. It does everything Andy said it would do and has proved to be an invaluable asset to our production facility.”
