Daltons Wadkin Prepares for W Exhibition

As 2018 is welcomed in we look forward to exciting prospects and events for the year ahead, the most important of which is the W woodworking machinery exhibition.

Formally known as W16, this year would have been W18, but will simply now be referred to as W Exhibition. The biennial show is the largest woodworking machinery exhibition in the UK and offers visitors the chance to see all products under one roof from machinery, equipment, software and tooling, to components and materials.

Manufacturing technology is advancing at an incredible rate and W Exhibition provides businesses of all sizes the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from leading manufacturers and gain valuable insight into the latest product developments many with live demonstrations.

Daltons Wadkin will be exhibiting with their largest stand yet featuring a range of products for working not only solid wood and wood based panels, but also composites and non ferrous metals. Salvador automatic programmable crosscut saws, Kimla CNC routers, CEHISA edgebanders, Elcon vertical panel saws, Altendorf panel saws, Stenner band resaws, Kuper planer moulders are just some of the products that will be on exhibited with much more to be announced.

Taking place at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, from 30th September to 3rd October, all key woodworking machinery manufactures and distributors will be exhibiting including Daltons Wadkin, Homag, SCM, Biesse and Felder to name a few. It is an opportunity to network with your industry and see thousands of products that can make a difference to your business.

The use of wood and wood based materials continues to grow as a sustainable and economical material. With accelerated house building programmes in the UK and Ireland a key focus at W Exhibition will deal with solid timber and panel processing in the building industry. Daltons Wadkin have a long history working in this sector with key installations of Salvador automatic crosscut saws and panel saws from Elcon and Altendorf helping customers meet increasing demands on production.

The W Exhibition is highlighting the growth of this industry through increased exhibitors and the promotion of training within the industry, encouraging the next generation who will take the industry forward.

Daltons Wadkin are one of the largest training providers in the UK with a specialist emphasis on woodworking machine training. Experts will be available on the stand to discuss wood machine operator training and health and safety topics.

Following the launch in 2016, Elements is a new event that will continue to run alongside the W Exhibition featuring the latest storage solutions, materials and technologies designed by influential manufacturers from the UK, Europe and further afield. As the only components show in the UK, Elements is an essential event to visit for anyone involved in the furniture production, kitchen bedroom and bathroom and interior design markets.
